Default Tips for Beating Raisu Palace Mission

Just did this mission again with a guildy and henchies. I was elem, and he was MM. Just some Tips that I have found useful.

1) Obvously, use that special skill you get. And DON'T be afraid to use it. It get recharged when you kill a boss, and there are plenty bosses around.

2) Bring an Elem if possible. The Elem's special skill works GREAT on many foes bundled up next to each other.

3) For the 2 extra henchies, I've found that brining Talon and Danika work the best.
NOTE: if you bring DANIKA, DO NOT SKIP HER CUTSCENE, even if you are being attacked in the cutscene by the archers. If you skip the cutscene, Danika will stay behind and actualy HEAL THE ENEMIES. Ive tested this like 5 times the other night and I about fell out of my chair when she did it each time.

4) At the beginning, make sure you pull the enemies. Those Elem dragons, can do MAJOR damage. (We took the Right hand side at the beginning.) Work your way to the first Boss (warrior). Make sure you DON'T just run up the stairs. Thats a no no. Pull them down a group at a time. The enemies will die much faster and easier.

5) Next room is freaken easy if you have Talon, pull some enemes down and kill them, then run up and get the Necro boss. (make sure you kill those Ritualists!)

6) The next one is a Ranger boss if I remember correctly. If you time this one right, its super easy with an Elem. They are all bunched together. I stood back, and called the closest target, and Devona (henchmen I took) ran up there and everyone attacked her. I casted my Elem Special skill and POOF. All we had to do was clean up the stragglers.

7) Try and save your Special skill in this next section for use against the next boss, Elem dragon. I always took the right hand side right after the Ranger boss for this one. Aggro the guys on to the top right, and attack them once they get to the bottom of the stairs. They got stuck there on Henchies for us most of the time. Clean out the rest of that right side. There is a patrol that runs from the left side to infront of the Elem boss, when its to the left have one person go and pull JUST the Elem boss back to the stairs on the right hand side where the rest of the party is waiting. (if its just you and henchies, make sure that when you pull with henchies, actually TURN AROUND AND RUN BACK. Henchies will usually stop attacking and run back with you.) Then unload. and HURRY up the stairs to SKIP the patrol. then stick to the right. There should be 3 more enemies here. Kill them quickly and RUN RUN RUN. Read on to find out why.

8) I believe the next part is one where there are 2 portals, one on left and one on right and a bridge in the middle. Endless monsters come from them. If you hurry, you can actually run straight over the bridge and not aggro any of those monsters. But you have to hurry, because as soon as "someone" walks up there monsters start to spawn. (big time saver).

9) After Danika leaves kill the enemies right there, and proceed to the left corridor. kill the enemies that are at the start of that corridor there. There is another patrol about half way down that moves in and out of the corridor, just run past them and attack the Ritualist boss ( MAKE sure you call targets on the Rit boss so any henchie stragglers catch up and attack it and not any enemies you left behind.) As soon as its dead, run thru the gate and the next cutscene will start.

10) The last section has like 3-4 bosses if i remember correctly. Just spam your special skills and since they recharge after a boss kill use it again. Very easy.

We were able to get the Master reward on it, and did it in 18 minutes.
I hope some of this is helpful to people. I came here looking for Tips to beat this mission myself back when I did it with my Ritualist. Some people posted some good info, I just wanted to do the same.

I used chaoking gas and practised stance to interrupt the casters and ele dragons, worked great -people in the group remarked how less damage people were taking, than usual.

Has anyone tried the other extra characters? I agree that Danika is a BIG help. But is Argo or Cynn less helpful than Talon? And does Nika make things any easier at the end?

Guildwiki is your friend
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Raisu_Palace_%28Mission%29

They have a good description on the mission, and what the various heroes do. But Danika and Talon is my favorites

One thing I cannot stress more with this mission is DO NOT DAWDLE. There is not much spare time to complete the mission, unlike other timed missions (Elona Reach). If your team is standing around waiting for someone to lead them to the next fight, you are going to lose. If people drop in the middle or go AFK, don't kid yourself into thinking you can complete the mission without them. You simply won't have the firepower to get through it.

Danika, Talon, and Cynn all save you from neverending spawns, but I think Cynn's is group is easiest to bypass if you are quick.

Take Argo

He does major damage but also blows up several obsticals making your route much shorter to the end.

I've always had great success with Danika and Cynn. Talon's section is pretty easy to pass if you just run through and fight on the ramp below the necro boss. This way you can reap the benefits of having Cynn along to toast more enemies a little longer.

Argo sucks.

I found doing these things very very useful at Raisu. Everyone save your dragon attack till you get to any boss and everyone us it...the dragon attack will recharge like a rez. also bring a MM and somebody with mark of pain. have the MM hit the Mark of Pain target for huge AoE DMG. most of the time half the group is dead and the rest are just about dead.
